🔐 TRITON Stakeholders Series #7 – University of Genova
The sAIfer Lab (https://www.saiferlab.ai) is a Joint Lab on Safety and Security of AI in the Department of Informatics Bioengineering, Robotics, and System Engineering (DIBRIS), at the University of Genoa (UNIGE), Italy. It conjugates the search for fundamental understanding of scientific problems with practical use for society in fields of cybersecurity, biometrics, and industry. It has a special focus on the development of safe and secure AI systems that ensure no unintentional or intentional harm can occur to people, IT systems, society, and critical infrastructures. The sAIfer lab division of the DIBRIS has been active for almost 30 years, and counts almost 70 members among professors, researchers and Ph.D. students.

In the context of TRITON, the sAIfer Lab is working towards providing novel techniques to fingerprint AI-based security detectors deployed as layer of defence, by developing tools that can extract internal information with few interactions. Also, the sAIfer Lab is working to help analysts mitigating alert fatigue by providing smart aggregation of scanning reports into more readable documents.
